With the aid of Canon's new flatbed scanner, filmstrips and slides can now be transferred to high

an instant power up features, thanks to white LED, and can even automatically remove imperfections
from scanned images to improve on the originals.
Canon's highest resolution flatbed 12-line color scanner to date, the CanoScan 9000F, incorporates a
professional film, high-speed Charged-Coupled Device sensor and can handle up to four 35mm slides
or 12 35mm flimstrips at any one time. Photographic film is scanned at 9600 x 9600 dots per inch in
Film mode, with other document types coming in at up to 4800 x 4800 dpi.
The new CanoScan 9000F offers a choice of EZ buttons for single press functionality. An Auto Scan
Mode detects what's being scanned and adjusts settings for best output, and FARE Level 3 technology
cleans up images by automatically removing dust and scratches while correcting fade, grain or
backlight problems at the same time. Readability of scanned documents hasn't been overlooked with
Auto Document Fix sharpening and darkening any problem text.
Supported by Windows and Mac OS via USB 2.0, the CanoScan 9000F will be released in June 2010
for US$249.99.
