The vacation rental Arcobaleno lies in Amalfi, the former capital of the maritime republic and impressively surrounded by the rough cliffs of the Amalfi Coast. Her position at the sea, her many shops, bars and restaurants make it a popular and loved destination. The little city is build in the valley of Monte Cerreto. Besides the main shopping street, the uncountable alleys and stairs make it a surprisingly and marvellous labyrinth of ancient times. At few steps of the city centre, her visitors enjoy the sun and the azure-blu ocean at the beach. Amalfi is part of the UNESCO heritage. Arcobaleno is high positioned in Amalfi and offers a spectacular view over the city and the sea. The vacation rental is divided in two identical apartments. Beware that for reaching Arcobaleno, you need to climb 200 steps, not an easy trip. Climbing the stairs, new and surprising views are found at each corner. The position of the house offers privacy and rest, it is situated at the roof of a palazzo which is renovated into a wide terrace high above the city. The apartments are modern furnished, the renovated ceiling with wooden carriers gives a warm atmosphere to the house. Air-conditioning, heating and television are present. Amalfi has a great, lively city centre. The Piazza Flavio Gioia, the cathedral, shops, restaurants, the bus stop and the beach are all within walking distance. A day trip to Positano, Ravello, Praiano and Sorrento is worthwhile. From the harbour of Amalfi, close to the centre, you can benefit from boats to Capri, Ischia and Naples.
