Upcoming Service Opportunity
There is still opportunity for you to join a group traveling to Moldova in mid-October to teach and encourage pastors and their wives as well as widows. A retreat is planned with sessions for pastors and their wives and sessions for widows. Many pastors’ wives conduct the Sunday school portion of the church service and play important roles in community outreach. Pastors and their families will benefit from time free from responsibilities to reflect and to be refreshed. Several years ago, the late Janice Wenger led teams to Moldova to minister to widows and their unique needs. These sessions for widows will help fulfill requests for continued support and encouragement. If interested in traveling with the group, contact Nelson Zimmerman

Economic Development Program
People in Moldova desiring to increase their income and to raise their living conditions face numerous challenges. Limited resources make it difficult to develop a small business or improve a farm. Cross Links offers small loans to assist people in improving their situation. With loans from Cross Links, two farmers recently purchased additional land for raising watermelons.
Trust God
As we listen to all the talk about rising fuel prices and fill our own fuel tanks, we realize the impact this has on our budgets. The high energy costs are not only effecting our cost of living here in the USA, but throughout the world people struggle with this increasing cost. We hear talk about reducing our dependency on foreign oil. The greater question that comes to my mind is, who are we really dependent upon? God calls us to cast all our cares on Him, He is the one who cares for each of us. He also tells us to not worry about tomorrow, today has enough to worry about. Let's remember that
