Ermenegildo Zegna Boutique in St. Petersburg
On April 2003 Ermenegildo Zegna opened the first Boutique in St. Petersburg. The opening of the
boutique was a kind of a gift for the 300 anniversary of the city.
The Boutique is situated on the Nevsky pr., 153. This is the main street of the city where all the
main boutiques are located. The Ermenegildo Zegna store is a “shop in shop” in Babochka Gallery
which presents in St. Petersburg all top Italian and French fashion brands. The Ermenegildo Zegna
Boutique occupies the first floor of the gallery and covers an area of 136 m2.
High windows give a full view of the interior, the décor of which is in harmony with the products
on display. Architects Gianmaria and Roberto Beretta created net distinctions between the
Collections by using different materials and colours. The consumer therefore finds it easier to
orientate himself within the various “worlds”, which are in effect complete and coherent walk-in
The first and the largest hall is dedicated to the Soft collection, Sportswear and Accessories. Its
interior features light-coloured furnishings in walnut and natural leather. There is also a special
display for accessories such as ties, bags and small leathergoods.
The second hall with its cosy and private atmosphere presents the Sartoriale and Napoli Couture
Collections together with the Su Misura (Made to Measure) service and the shoes collection. This
area is distinguished by dark frames in precious rosewood and by refined details, such as shelves
covered in saddle-stitched leather.
