Mataki – in the roofing business since 1904.
Mataki has been supplying waterproof roofing materials
in one form or another for nearly a century, and now
markets a complete range of advanced membrane sys-
tems and roofing products.
Mataki products are developed and manufactured at our facilities in
Sweden. We hold an ISO 9001 quality certificate.
The Trelleborg Group. Mataki is a division of Trelleborg Building
Systems AB, one of the business areas of the Trelleborg Group. Trelle-
borg develops and manufactures products which in various ways contri-
bute to a better indoor and outdoor environment.
Operations are ISO 9001 certified, and an environmental manage-
ment system is currently being developed with a view to ISO 14001
certification. Substantial resources are devoted to research and develop-
ment. Trelleborg’s expert knowledge of rubber and bitumen based pro-
ducts, and its experience in their application, make the Group unique of
its kind in the world. The Trelleborg Group is currently represented in

ELASTOFOL ENG 1
Roofing membrane for all roofs!
– the best material we ever made
Mataki Elastofol is usually a better and more cost-effective alternative to other roofing materials.
It is suitable for industrial, urban and rural environments – in other words, everywhere.

Our product development is focused on minimum environmental impact, and that applies
very much to Mataki Elastofol. Environment-friendly production aims at preventing
pollution of water, air or soil.
Alter or extend
The ageing-resistant properties of Mataki
Elastofol make it possible to splice new material
to old by hot-air torching, so repairs and exten-
sions in connection with alterations are easily
made. Skylights, lantern lights, pipes and other
fittings can be installed later with no trouble. So
alterations and extensions are not a problem.
Because Mataki Elastofol is a roofing membrane
with an optimised application system, it can be
laid quickly; if an old roof starts leaking, it can be
repaired without delay. This reduces costs as well
as the risk of damage caused by damp, which
could interfere with production in industry or
make it necessary to evacuate tenants.
The ability of Mataki Elastofol to resist weather,
wind, mechanical stresses, movement, UV radia-
tion and thermo-oxidative degradation minimises
the need for maintenance.
Mataki Elastofol is a technically advanced system
compared to many other roofing systems, which
often require regular inspection.

to roofs are caused by faulty installation, which
can often be blamed on non-user-friendly systems
