Charter Bus Trips
-All times for trips will be confirmed with an itinerary one week before the trip. All times listed are approximate.

-All trips leave from the Mayfield Village Civic Center unless otherwise noted.
-In order to avoid cancelling programs, we need the cooperation of participants to sign up by deadlines. Mayfield
Village will charge $5 per person per program after the registration deadline. Please note that Mayfield Village
reserves the right to deny registrations after the deadline due to limited enrollment, planning, etc.
-The registration deadline is one week prior to trip or until the bus is full unless otherwise noted.
Marietta – Where History Resides
Date: Saturday, September 13 Time: 6:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Cost: $92.00 per person – includes transportation, admission and dinner.
Details: With the majestic Ohio River as a backdrop, we invite you to escape, discover and enjoy this historic
river town. We begin with a city tour- from its dynamic waterfront to its Victorian homes, its Indian burial
mounds to its historic shopping districts. You will cruise the Ohio River on the Valley Gem and experience a
bygone era. We will visit the Ohio River Museum and the Castle; glimpse the gracious lifestyle of 19th century
Marietta in this outstanding example of Gothic Revival architecture. This is a one day tour that will soon become a

Historic Homes of the Laurel Highlands, PA
Date: Friday, October 10 Time: 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.
Cost: $89.00 per person – includes transportation, admission and lunch.
Details: We will travel to the beautiful scenic Laurel Highlands of Southwest Pennsylvania during the full fall
colors. Our first stop is the Nemacolin Castle, the historic homes of the Bowman family. Built in 1789, the 22
rooms furnished with antique furniture and household items, represents architectural trends and family living the
past two centuries. The journey continues to the Cochran Home, a magnificent restored Victorian home and the
Cochran Church reminiscent of a European Cathedral. Our final stop is Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpiece,
Fallingwater, a must see even a second time.

The Wine – Ding Trail, Ashtabula County

Details: Join us for a fun day in Ohio wine country, exploring the beauty, history and many wineries of Ashtabula
County. We begin our day with a visit to Grand River Cellars; you will be treated to a tour, tasting and morning
refreshments of fruited breads with wine jellies and whipped cinnamon butter. We will continue to the Laurello
Vineyards for lunch and wine tasting. You will sit in the beautifully renovated farm market and enjoy the rich
aromas of Italy. Tempt your taste buds with your choice of three homemade Italian sandwiches on honey wheat
bread along with their famous broccoli salad. On our way to the next vinter’s delight, you will see what Ashtabula
County is famous for…covered bridges (they have 16). We will stop for picture taking at the Harpersfield covered
bridge which is 228 feet in length, spanning the Grand River. Our wine tour will continue with stops at Ferrante’s
Winery, the Virant Family Winery and the Old Firehouse Winery, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner while

A Christmas Story House & West Side Market
Date: Saturday, November 15
Time: Bus will leave Pepper Pike Learning Center (32000 Chagrin Blvd), 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Details: Join us as we venture to the Christmas Story House, featured in the 1980’s hilarious hit comedy, “A
Christmas Story.” We’ll take a guided tour of the house before hitting the gift shop across the street for souvenirs
and memorabilia. Afterward we’ll head to the West Side Market for the finest in meats, cheeses, spices, grains,
pastries, produce and more at reasonable prices. Have lunch (on your own) in the sit-down short-order restaurant or
sample delectable sandwiches and desserts from various vendors.

Details: The perfect mix of shopping, historic mansions and good food. Stops made at Reyers (the world’s largest
