Re: DAY TRIP TO A CHRISTMAS MARKET IN LILLE, FRANCE Tuesday 9th December 2008 Dear Parent/Carer Once again we are delighted to be able to offer our students the opportunity of visiting Lille and its traditional Christmas Market. The trip will allow students to experience a different environment and culture. The details are as follows.
Party Leader: Miss C. Thompson Travel Company: Eurostar (Kings Cross St Pancras to Lille) Cost: £55 (inclusive of Eurostar travel and insurance) Methods of Travel: Tube from Morden to Kings Cross and Eurostar Departure: Tuesday 9th December meet at 5:15am at Morden Station Eurostar from Kings Cross St Pancras at 7:10am Return: Tuesday 9th December 19:35 train from Lille arriving at St Pancras at 20:30 (We should arrive in Morden at around 9:30pm)
PLEASE NOTE: All participants must have their OWN full passport and an EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) which is obtainable from the Post Office or visit this website – www.ehic.org.uk Students who pay for the trip knowing that they do not have their own full passport will not receive a refund if they do not receive their passport within two weeks before the departure date. Students will also need an Oyster Card to allow them to travel by tube to St Pancras as this is not included in the price of the ticket.
Those interested should complete the attached consent and health and safety forms and return it with full payment to Ms Gillmore at 8:15-8:30 in the canteen by Tuesday 14th October ’08 in cash or a cheque made payable to Ricards Lodge High School by Tuesday 14th October ’08. There are a limited number of places and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
