      ***REPORTING*** Your orders should have a RNETD on them, meaning you cannot report in EARLIER than 14 days prior to
      your class start date. Unless approved by AFIT and NPS, you will not receive local BAH if you process in before the RNETD. You
      may arrive here prior to that and remain on leave en route (and complete items 4-9 below), but you will not be able to process in w/
         Finance to file a travel voucher and receive local BAH. The 14-day rule applies even if your orders do not have the RNETD.

      1. STUDENT SERVICES OFFICE & AIR FORCE COMMANDER, AFIT FORCE SUPPORT, NPS

            PRIOR TO ARRIVAL, go to http://www.nps.edu/NewStudents/index.html and pre-register w/ Student Services (see the
                              st
             “Registration & 1 Week” block)
            Set up e-mail acct & pick up NPS Student Services inprocessing checklist w/in 24 hours of arrival (first duty day available)
            Mandatory NPS Orientation: usually Tuesday before classes start, 0800, King Hall
            Mandatory AF Orientation: Thursday after NPS Orientation (Date/time/place TBD); this is also AF in-processing

      2. AF PERSONNEL
             Military Personnel Section (MPS) (Goodfellow AFB MPS Operating Location A or OL-A) at the Presidio of Monterey (POM)
                   o Bldg 616 (Taylor Hall), Rm 223A; just inside Franklin St. gate; (831)-242-7317
                   o You don’t need to visit them (unless you want to). Gaining actions are accomplished during AF Orientation. You
                        will need (1) the dates you detached/departed your last base, and the date you arrived in Monterey.
             AF Portal/vMPF: Update your vRED.
                   o Also provides DEERS link (https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/appj/address/indexAction.do).
          

                   o Turn in flight records/flight eval folder, fill out Aircrew Inprocessing Checklist (Available at the URL on the top of
                        this page) and bring to SSgt Boles (CML 242-7160, steven.boles@goodfellow.af.mil); backup is SMSgt Chang
                        (Rm 140).

      3. AF FINANCE
              All in-processing actions are accomplished at the AF Orientation (see Item 1 above)
                     o Bring receipts, fill out travel voucher
                     o Bring in a copy of your GTC balance ( https://home.cards.citidirect.com/CommercialCard/Cards.html )

      4. CLASS SCHEDULE
            (Recommended): after checking in w/ the NPS Student Services Office, check your default class schedule.
            Discuss w/ Advisor/Ed Tech/other students in your curriculum before classes start (if you want to make changes).

      5. VEHICLE DECALS AND DBIDS:
             NPS Main gate. Requires vehicle registration, insurance, you and your dependents, and all ID cards

      6. MEDICAL/DENTAL
             Every Monday before classes start, Tricare receives records in the Herrmann Hall basement from 0800-1200.
                  o Or, you can turn in dental records at NPS, Herrmann Hall 4th floor (831) 656-2477

      7. AFIT ONLINE IN-PROCESSING
             Access via AFIT site (https://www.afit.edu/cip). Create an account, log in, and complete the “Arrival at Program Location
              Checklist”, located under the heading “In-processing Information” on the right side of the screen.

      8. PERSONAL PROPERTY
            For DITY moves and scheduling HHG delivery, the Personal Property (TMO) is at Leahy Rd, La Mesa village, 656-2151.

      9. MOTORCYCLES
           If you ride a motorcycle, fill out an AETC Form 708 per instructions at the AFIT online inprocessing page.
           Must have either a current MSF card or take a Safety class at the NPS campus, (831)-656-2822 or DSN 756-2822.
