TRAVEL AGENT User Guide
Selling Blue Cross Travel Insurance is really this simple:
1. CLICK
• click on the Travel Agent Quick Sale button • get information and view our travel policy • click on Take me to the on-line registration
2. REGISTER
• enter your TICO registration number and/or your IATA number • create your password using 8 characters (at least one character should be numeric) • enter your agency and travel agent information
3. LOGIN
• your distributor number will appear in the distributor number field on our login page • enter password • click on login to enter into our sales area
User Guide 4. SET UP YOUR AGENTS
• click on our Admin tools section to set up multiple agents for your agency • click on User Management, then select Add • set up an agent code and password for each agent and advise them of their login information for future use
5. CREATE A QUOTE
• enter the information required to quote the available products • use the help button for additional assistance • when applicable, family rates will be calculated based on the ages of the persons entered
6. SELECT A PRODUCT
• available products are shown based on the trip information entered • the total premium is shown, including any applicable taxes • click on the plan names to view the benefits included and coverage amounts • click on the premium shown to view alternative plans or coverage options • use the help button for additional assistance • select the plan you wish to sell

IMPORTANT
If your customer is 61 years of age or older, and you select Annual or the Daily Hospital and Medical benefit, you must complete the Rate Eligibility Questionnaire on the next screen. The answers to the medical questions will determine the clients premium rate. If your customer answers yes to any of the medical questions, that condition is not covered. They have an option of having their physician complete the Blue Cross Medical Questionnaire, and if accepted, the pre-existing medical condition is covered for the duration of the policy. There is no additional premium charged. Your customer is responsible for any fee charged by the physician.
7. CONFIRM YOUR PRODUCT SELECTION
• review the plan information for accuracy • exclusions relating to pre-existing conditions: you must indicate that you have advised your customer • the beneficiary will default to Estate unless otherwise indicated
8. CONFIRM INSURED’S INFORMATION
• the clients Travel Insurance Certificate and Travel Policy will be mailed to the address provided • your clients e-mail address is optional
9. ENTER THE PAYMENT INFORMATION
• Quick Sale policies are payable by credit card only • enter the credit card number, expiration date and cardholder name

10. THE TRAVEL INSURANCE CERTIFICATE
• view or print the travel insurance certificate • the credit card payment authorization is shown on the certificate • IMPORTANT: make your client aware of the 24-hour emergency numbers and the pre-existing condition clauses applicable to their plan • the certificate and policy will be mailed to the address entered
11. COMMISSION
• commission is paid for all travel policies, and is paid monthly by cheque to the Travel Agency indicated on the Quick Sale registration • weekly direct bank deposit is also available • once you have completed the Quick Sale registration, you will be able to review our competitive commission structure
