Call for Travel Donations – IAL 6 & ABLS 2008 Asilomar Meeting A joint IAL 6 and ABLS travel award committee has been established for the meeting this year composed of members from both groups. They will award funds allocated by the two societies ($12,000 to $15,000 pending final council decisions) and any grant funds that may be forthcoming. In addition, the British Lichen Society has allocated 5,000 £ to its own travel fund. With this notice we are requesting donations from individual societal members, as ABLS has very successfully done for many years. The emphasis of the awards will be to support student travel to the meetings. In addition, we have many colleagues, who lack the financial means to attend the meetings. Thank you for your consideration of this request.
