Hotel Suites Returns
The Neil Simon comedy Based on his critically acclaimed Hotel plays: “PLAZA SUITE & LONDON SUITE” This play that opened to a sell out audience in July is back for a second limited run. If you missed seeing this marvelous production in July get tickets early it is sure to be a sell out. New President Elected
Members of the FCPA board of directors chose Shane Clouse as the new board president, a vacancy created when Patti Kiehne resigned. Shane Clouse, has been a dedicated member of the Spanish Peaks Players since 1997. He has been in Harvey, The Odd Couple, Dracula, Hotel Suites and has acted and directed in many melodramas such as The Great Railroad Scam, Doctor Dogs Breath Devereaux, and The Vile Veterinarian. He is currently appearing in the 2006 melodrama, Blazing Guns at Roaring Gulch or The Perfumed Badge as Bill Filbert. This is his fourth melodrama. He also acted in three murder dinner mysteries, Death in Them Thar Hills, Murder, Music & Mayhem and Murder Most Green. Shane was very involved in the recent remodeling of the theater helping to build the risers, the new stage and install the new theater seats.
Movie “Heart of Gold” Friday September 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the theater
“Heart of Gold” concert by Neil Young. Filmmaker Jonathan Demme’s ‘Heart of Gold’ is an intimate musical portrait of legendary singer/songwriter Neil Young, filmed on the occasion of the world premiere of Young’s Prairie Wind concert at Nashville’s hallowed Ryman auditorium last summer. Young’s music provides an emotionally rich view into this unique artist’s relationship to family, friends, mortality and the passage of time. Young is accompanied on stage by many long time musical companions, including country star Emmylou Harris, Neil’s wife Pegi Young, and band leader/ steel guitarist Ben Keith.

MELODRAMA HIT OF THE SEASON

If you missed the Melodrama you missed a great evening of fun. Widow Black played by Shere Clouse spinning nefarious plots in cahoots with that arch villain Snipe Vermin, played by Matt Dobbs, drew hisses and boos, while the sweet freckle faced sheriff played by Suzanne de St Jean and her heart throb Harry Heartstone twin brother of Snipe, also played by Matt Dobbs, were strongly supported by the audience in their fumbling attempts to thwart the villains. A great supporting cast added characters that helped create an outstanding summer Melodrama One Last Chance to enjoy a great evening of fun, don’t forget to bring along a lot of news paper balls to throw.
