AT A HOTEL Teacher page GRADE LEVEL: Lower- intermediate to intermediate AIMS: students learn new vocabulary to do with travelling, holidays, staying in a hotel TIME: 45 minutes EQUIPMENT: CD ROM English Plus Basic 2, multi- media classroom. A. WARM UP Ask students to work with a partner or in small groups and discuss the following questions: 1. What do they take with them when they go on holiday ? 2. Where do they stay ? 3. What do they have to do when they arrive at a hotel? 4. What is the best holiday they have ever had ? B. Choose up to 20 words from the list ( or else it will take too long ) and tell students to complete the table with any six words they want. When they have done so, tell them to listen carefully and cross out the word they recognise by listening to your definitions. HOMEWORK Tell them to go to a travel agency, take some brochures about summer holidays and bring them to school.
