Dealers primed to sell new, used boats at low prices at

Seattle Boat Show Summer Sale this weekend

250 new and used boats available at bargain prices

What: Seattle Boat Show Summer Sale

Faced with the struggling economy and its impact on boat dealers in the
region, organizers of the annual Seattle Boat Show are hosting the
first-ever Seattle Boat Show Summer Sale at Qwest Field's North Parking
Lot, August 8-10.

The event features 250 new and used boats on trailers from 50 dealers
with savings up to 30%. For example, a new Four Winns 220 has an MSRP
of $49,995. According to John Davies of Cope & McPhetres in
Woodinville, the local Four Winns dealer, he will be selling the same
boat for $34,995 - a 30 percent drop from the original retail price.

Fishing boat brands that will be there include: Alumaweld, Arima,
Boston Whaler, Campion, Custom Weld, Defiance, Duckworth, Edgewater,
Hydrasport, Lowe, North River, Northwest Jet, Pro Line, Raider,
Seasport, Shamrock, Seaswirl, Skagit Orca, Tracker and Trophy.

Accessories dealers include: Outdoor Emporium, Cushman Boats (crab
pots) and Kone Zone (fishing tackle).

As an incentive, any person that buys a boat at the Summer Sale
receives a $200 gift card from West Marine. And all boats sold at the
sale with a value of at least $5000 will receive a one-year Boat US
membership and a 20% discount on their unlimited towing package

Leaders of the not-for-profit Northwest Marine Trade Association
(NMTA), owners and producers of the Boat Show, voted to underwrite the
entire cost of the sales event to provide needed support to dealers in
Washington who saw sales drop as high as 59 percent during the month of
June. NMTA is not only banking on a successful event for its dealer
members, but on creating a tremendous buying opportunity for consumers,
according to NMTA President Michael Campbell. "With 50 dealers
competing for your business, there is no better time to buy a boat",
says Campbell.
