Etna, surrounded by orange trees and olive groves. Superb architecture of churches and monasteries abound in this city that was destroyed by earthquakes in 1169 and 1693. SALERNO, ITALY Salerno boasts one of the loveliest cathedrals in southern Italy, reached through an atrium with 28 columns. Venture on to Paestumand see the Temple of Neptune or take an optional excursion to Pompeii. TOULON (PROVENCE), FRANCE Toulon is a city in southern France and a large military harbor. Toulon is the préfecture (capital) in the former province of the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur region. Venture into the breathtaking Provence countryside and stumble upon sleepy French villages. This enchanting region has inspired many a great master, including Van Gogh and Cezanne.
