Buck Consultants Brings HRism to Nashville’s
Frist Center for the Visual Arts

NASHVILLE: April 9, 2008 – Buck Consultants, an ACS company and one of the
world’s leading human resource and benefits consulting firms, today announced it will
host the third complimentary seminar, HRism: Exploring the Art of Human Resources.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 1, 2008, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Nashville’s
historic Union Station Hotel.

The Nashville HRism event begins at 2:00 p.m. with speaker presentations, followed by
hors d'oeuvres and a cocktail hour. After the event, attendees are invited to view the
Monet to Dali exhibit at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts.

Presentations will show innovative solutions for critical human resources issues and will
feature three senior executives: Al Morangelli of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee,
Marian Brewer of U.S. Xpress, Inc., and Chandra Matthews of Dollar General. Each
executive, along with Buck senior consultants, will address major workforce trends
including:

   • Thriving at the art of organizational transformation
   • Creating a culture of wellness
   • Linking strategy to desired outcomes via effective communications
   • Exploring what the future holds for human resources

“Attendees will get a rare glimpse of what some of their peers are doing and how they’re
responding to some tough issues, which can really assist an organization facing similar
challenges,” said Jill Spielberger, Market Leader in the southeast for Buck.
Buck kicked off 2008 with HRism at The High Museum of Art in Atlanta, focusing on
emerging industry trends such as rising health care costs, managing a multi-generational
workforce, and building employee engagement. HRism provided a forum for attendees to
draw insights from the very executives who face these challenges successfully.

The second HRism, held March 27 in Philadelphia, hosted more than 30 companies and
focused primarily on wellness strategy exploration and development.

As Buck brings this event to key cities and offers more companies the opportunity to
explore the art of human resources, HRism gains momentum.
