Cabinet Ministers pass regulations by authority granted in a law passed by parliament.
These regulations generally deal with the specifics of administering the principles of the
law. i.e. The Fish and Wildlife Act of Ontario purpose is to manage wildlife resources in
the province. To satisfy this principle, the law grants authority to the Minister of Natural
Resources to set by regulation the catch limit of the various species of fish and allowable
sizes of fish that can be kept.
