Description: "Old Settlers" (music and lyrics by Janet E. Buckley & William R. Buckley; copyright (c) 2009; all rights reserved) is a song about the history and community of Mooresville, Indiana, which is Janet's hometown. Janet and Bill are librarians (at Greenwood Public Library, Greenwood, IN, and Mooresville Public Library, Mooresville, IN, respectively), and they wrote this song to commemorate the hometown spirit of the community. After the song was published, Janet suggested that the last line of the refrain be changed from "this song" to "their songs," since it is about the songs of the old settlers, so feel free to make that lyrical substitution.
