LIBERTY SQUARE GROUP WELCOMES CONOR YUNITS AS NEW
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
BOSTON – The Liberty Square Group is pleased to announce the addition of Conor
Yunits as its new Senior Vice President for Communications and Public Affairs. Mr.
Yunits brings over six years of communications experience both in new media and
traditional communications to service the Liberty Square Group‟s diverse array of clients.
Mr. Yunits takes the place of Amy Lambiaso Goodrich, who is taking a leave of absence from the
Liberty Square Group to join the communications team on Charlie Baker‟s campaign for
Governor of Massachusetts.
Prior to joining the Liberty Square Group, Mr. Yunits founded and authored two well-read
Massachusetts political blogs, KennedySeat.com and MassBeacon.com, and created a political
podcast, The Sacred Codcast that became a key interview for leaders on Beacon Hill.
In just four months, kennedyseat.com became a must-read site for anyone interested in the U.S.
Senate race to replace Senator Ted Kennedy. It was hailed as “a new model for election
blogging” by the Washington Examiner, profiled by WBUR and WGBH‟s “Greater Boston with
Emily Rooney,” and praised by The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, The Washington Post,
and the Hartford Courant. MassBeacon.com expanded the kennedyseat.com efforts to the full
spectrum of Massachusetts politics. With more than 2,500 weekly readers, it has become the first
morning read of hundreds of political insiders, elected officials, candidates, and staffers in and
around Beacon Hill.
Mr. Yunits also has a strong background working with traditional media. For four years he
served as director of communications for the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, crafting
media strategies, building relationships with reporters, writing speeches and op-eds and creating
partnerships with radio and TV stations. Mr. Yunits has been featured as a political analyst on
WBUR, Boston‟s NPR station, and led scheduling and research for “This Week in Business,” a
weekly television show on NECN co-produced by the Chamber.
“Conor‟s wealth of knowledge in both traditional and „new‟ media positions the Liberty Square
Group to continue providing a superior level of service to our clients,” said Scott Ferson,
President of the Liberty Square Group. “We‟re pleased to have him on our team.”
