Delta Airlines have started direct flights from Mumbai to JFK, New York.
Delta Airlines which was earlier operating flights from Mumbai and Chennai to Paris and onward to New York, have started direct flights from Mumbai to JFK New York, starting 3rd November 06. The flights are operated by the new generation aircraft B777-200ER, and are currently the longest flights out of Mumbai Airport. In-flight Meal service consists of Hot Meal, Breakfast Snack and Snack. Delta officials Mr. Michael Sandbrink and Ms. Julia Schmidt came for the start up & attended the first two flights. The inaugural flight was attended from TSACL, Mumbai by Dy. General Manager Nowzer Dudhmal, Asst. Operations Manager Daraius Dalal and Asst. Manager Bonds Isaac Barretto. A small function was organized on 3rd November 06, by Delta Airlines at the Terminal - II A, for the inauguration of their direct flights, wherein senior Delta Officials, IAAI officials, GSA officials, TSACL officials and other airline officials were invited to attend. Mr. Gerry D’lima, Station Manager, Mumbai gave the opening address.
