Nouns
*A noun is a person, place, thing, or idea.
- Be able to identify nouns in a sentence. (p.360)
Examples:
She began her career as a teacher.
Her kindness touched the lives of countless men, women, and children.

Common and Proper Nouns/Capitalize Proper Nouns
*A proper noun names a particular person, place, thing, or idea and begins with a capital
letter. A common noun names any one of a group of persons, places, things, or ideas. It
usually is not capitalized.(p.324)
-Know the difference between common and proper nouns.

Singular and Plural Nouns and Possessive Nouns

-Be able to form the plural of nouns.
-Be able to form the possessive case of a noun or pronoun. (p.598-601)
