Rules for entry are as follows:
Wednesday 17th February – entries on the day are accepted.

Thursday 18th, Friday 19th and Saturday 20th February – PRE-ENTRY & DRAWN ORDER for
classes 8 & 9 on Thursday, 13 &14 on Friday and 18 & 19 on Saturday.

All other classes – entries on the day. Entries will close (for those classes that must be pre-entered)
the preceding day of each competition day. (eg: for Thursday – entries close Wednesday 4pm).

Refund of entry fees will only be made to those who have pre-entered & paid (before close of entry)
and whose withdrawal is received half an hour before the class starts.

DRAWN ORDER: Competitors will be given starting times for the first class of each day
(Thurs/Fri/Sat). Please ring 01564 770180 on Wednesday (for Thursday classes) between 5pm and
6pm or check/ring at the office (on 01564 770180) for subsequent days. Times may be available on
our website www.solihullridingclub.co.uk
Please make sure you note your preference of order of riding on the entry form for multiple rides.

STABLING: Temporary stabling available on site. £30 per box per night, £50 per box for two nights
(Thursday/Friday) or £90.00 per box for the whole show. Please complete the relevant section on
entry form. (2 bales of shavings included). Additional shavings available to purchase via the office.
NB: STABLES will be available from 5pm on the evening of the night booked – and must be
vacated by 4.30pm of the following day.

FIRST AID: Cost will be £2.00 per rider per day or £7.00 per rider for the show.

RESTAURANT & BAR – Will be open late every evening. Look out for the specials board for evening
meals.

Directions
Leave the M42 at junction 4 and take the A3400 towards Henley in Arden/Hockley Heath. Go
across 1 set of traffic lights. At the next roundabout turn left into Box Trees Road (petrol station on
corner). Go approximately two miles. You will pass a public house on your right (Drum &
Monkey). The Riding Club drive is immediately after that on your left hand side.

Rules and Conditions
Rule 76.6 will NOT be applied on Thursday 18th or Friday 19th February. Entries are confined to registered
horses to be ridden by members in accordance with Rule 79. Owners entering horses/ponies do so entirely
at their own risk and it is a condition of entry that no liability of any kind attaches itself to British
Showjumping, its committee or members of the Show Organisers or Show Ground Proprietors in any
respect whatsoever. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry at their discretion. Once a class has
started NO REFUNDS will be given under any circumstances. See Rule 79.5.

Rule 82.21: No member of British Showjumping shall allow a stallion for which he is responsible as owner,
lessee, authorised agent, or rider to attend a show, compete or be prepared to compete, in any show
jumping competition without taking adequate precautions to ensure other horses/ponies, competitors and
members of the public are not put at risk of injury. Also refer to Rule 102.11

Health and Safety
The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of
everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to
avoid accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all officials and steward. All
riders when riding, whether competing or not, must wear hard hats marked BS / EN 1384, PAS015 or
prefixed with ASTM or SE1 with a strap properly adjusted and fastened. Correct dress and footwear to be
worn.Dogs must be kept on leads at all times. Will dog owners please note – we now have a poop scoop
policy in operation, please use the bins provided.

PLEASE TAKE YOUR RUBBISH HOME AND DO NOT MUCK OUT YOUR HORSEBOX ON OUR
GROUNDS.

Grand Prix Rule – Table A9 – The best 5 scores, or all clear rounds, will go forward to the second round, which will
be against the clock. In the event of equality, faults and time will decide eg: the faster four faulters will qualifiy.
Competitors in the second round will start in the reverse order of merit or the slowest four faulter will go first, the
faster clear last. It necessary those who do not reach the second round, faults and time in the first round will
determine their placing. If a competitor withdraws from the second round they will not be replaced and will receive
the placing from the first round. At least five prizes to be awarded.

For registered horses of any Grade to be ridden by Full, Associate or Pony Associate members,
excluding the top 150 on the Riders Ranking List 326.
Riders who have ever competed as a team member of any Senior International Team, (Nations Cup,
World, European Championships and Olympic Games) are not eligible.
Pony Riders, Children, Juniors and Young Riders who have ever competed in Nations Cup/International Team
Events and European Championships in the last five years are not eligible. (Excluding Veteran Teams)
The first three horse/rider combinations will qualify for the Final at the British Open Show Jumping
Championships, disregarding those that have already qualified and riders who have already qualified one horse.
Riders may only compete in one horse in the Final
