My career commenced in 1948 with entry
into Sydney University, graduating with a
BSc(For) in 1952. This included two years at
the Australian Forestry School in Canberra.

Much of my working life was in Canberra in the

Retirement has been very fulfilling. I have published two books and am
working on another. I completed a doctoral thesis in 1999 and taught on a part time
