RE: Application to become a Waste Wise Business
Cars 'R Us would like to register our intention to join the Waste Wise Business Program. Cars ‘R Us is a vintage and classic car restoration business with twenty employees, and has been operating for the last fifteen years. Cars 'R Us has recently developed an environmental policy which includes a commitment to waste minimisation. A part time environmental graduate has been appointed and a “green team” has been formed to address the environmental issues of the site. Cars ‘R Us agree to submit: • a waste audit; • a waste minimisation action plan; • key performance indicators form; and • an annual review of the quantity of waste generated and an updated plan. The audit and action plan will be forwarded to you by the end of May 2000. We look forward to starting the program. I understand that we will not be able to use the Waste Wise logo until the audit is completed and we have demonstrated implementation of our action plan to you and EcoRecycle Victoria.
