                                               Until APRIL 11, 2010

         Laara Cassells: e·strange
New paintings by Laara Cassells tackle the isolation and absorption of the generation dubbed ‘the
intentionally disengaged’. Cassells juxtaposes images of youth and contemporary popular culture
with a more historical portrait painting tradition, the equestrian portrait, celebrating both the
disjuncture and the resonance between subjects and medium.

         Dana Shukster: Pre-Flight
Dana Shukster’s recent explorations of shadows have resulted in a series of large scale, sepia-toned
inkjet prints on paper. These mysterious and ephemeral images are derived from projected shadows
of magpies in flight, and are accompanied in the gallery by video and direct shadow projections.
