About The Speakers

Paul Novak, CEO, Institute for Supply Management

Paul Novak, CPSM, C.P.M., A.P.P., is ISM's CEO. Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM) is
the largest, oldest and most respected supply management association in the world. Novak
has been with Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM) since 1988 and led the institute in a
major change in its governance, the implementation of a Board of Directors comprised of
senior officers at major companies. Following this change, Novak led the organization in
broadening its focus from purchasing into supply management.

Novak is a graduate of Michigan State University, having received his bachelor's degree in
1967 and his master's degree in 1972. In addition, he achieved his certificate in not-for-profit
management from the Harvard Business School faculty. Novak was also the staff editor of
ISM's four-book Knowledge Series on purchasing management. He is in his second year of a
two-year term as president of the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply
Management (IFPSM). Novak also serves on the board of directors of the Federal Acquisition
Innovation and Reform Institute (FAIR). Novak is a frequent speaker concerning the future of
supply management and the role it must play to ensure business success.

ISM’s mission is to lead the supply management profession through its standards of
excellence, research, promotional activities, and education. ISM’s membership base includes
more than 40,000 supply management professionals with a network of domestic and
international affiliated associations. ISM is a not-for-profit association that provides
opportunities for the promotion of the profession and the expansion of professional skills and
knowledge.
Charlie P. Villaseñor, President and CEO, TransProcure
Chairman, Procurement and Sourcing Institute of Asia

Charlie Villasenor is the President and CEO of TransProcure (www.transprocure.com), a
leading global procurement solutions & services company. He is well known as a Procurement
icon in Asia. He has many successes in the profession such as being a key membership of the
leadership team in launching the global Procurement transformation in 1998 of CALTEX
(ChevronTexaco) in Asia. He also founded and became the COO of the Philippines largest
procurement portal that was a consortium by the country’s six (6) largest multi-industry
conglomerates and became the ASEAN Regional Director of Ariba, a spend management
software company and was based in Singapore. He has also held various senior supply
management positions in 3M and Coca-Cola companies.

Mr. Villaseñor is also the Chairman of the Procurement and Sourcing Institute of Asia (PASIA)
(www.pasia.org). PASIA is the only multi-country affiliate of the distinguished Institute for
Supply Management (ISM) (www.ism.ws) in the Asia Region. It is a non-profit institute that
brings together executives involved in procurement and supply management. It is a unique
network that leverages across countries in the Asia-Pacific region and tackles strategic
procurement and supply management issues. . PASIA is also a member association of the
International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM) (www.ifpsm.org), a
non-political, independent and non-profit oriented International Organization registered in
