Even though the exhibition closes at 13.00 h, dismantling is permitted only as from 13.30 h since lectures are
taking place near the exhibition areas.
Early dismantling and/or removal of material are not permitted during show hours. The exhibitor must
dismantle the stand within the allotted time. The Exhibitor must leave the stand area clear and the floor
clean.
Exhibitors will be liable for charges incurred in the disposal of any materials remaining in the Exhibition Hall
after this time. Each Exhibitor must be present during dismantling to supervise the safe removal of exhibits.

                                         RULES & REGULATIONS


   The following rules require strict compliance by Exhibitors and their personnel. The Organizing Committee is
   entitled to control, correct, forbid and/or close down any booth which does not comply with these regulations.
   These rules and regulations also include those of the Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center.

   If the Exhibitor fails to comply with any of the terms of these regulations, the Organizers shall have the right
   to resell the space and all money paid by the Exhibitor shall be forfeited.

daily basis.

It is the responsibility of Exhibitors to have their booth
space clean and tidy during the exhibition, as well as
during move-in and after moving-out.

CONDITIONS FOR HOLDING A CSS

It will be listed in the program as part of the Official Program, and will be held in one of the rooms of the
Congress Center during the Official Congress timetable.

Promotion or advertising prior to the Symposium is not permitted in the venue other than in the stand.
Handing out programs and brochures at the entrance of the Symposium is allowed 15 minutes before the
beginning of the session. Posters or other means of guiding participants to the Symposium are strictly
forbidden at all times.

The Symposium must be open to all Congress participants.

It is strictly forbidden to hold a CSS outside the Congress premises during the four days before the
Congress, during the official hours of the Congress or during the two days immediately after the Congress.

The Congress logo may not be used without the expressed written consent from the Committee.

Companies organizing a sponsored symposium are entitled to include an invitation card in the Congress

SURVEILLANCE

We will inform you which is the official surveillance company for the IUA 2010 once the supplier is selected
by the Organizing Committee.

CATERING

To co-ordinate catering service, Exhibitors should contact Ms. Amorina Orosco from the Sheraton Hotel &
Convention Center at amorina.orosco@sheraton.com before March 15, 2010.

All catering services should be provided by the Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center.
The Organizing Committee must be notified of any distribution of food and beverage in the Exhibit Halls at

NON - OFFICIAL CONTRACTORS

A non-official contactor is any individual who is not full time permanent employee of an exhibiting company
and who is providing a service to an exhibitor on-site and who does not represent one or more of the official
contractors.

The exhibiting firm using a non-official contractor (ex.: an outside decorator) must inform the organizers. In
any case, it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to see that each representative of the non-official contractor
abides by the official rules and regulations of this document and of the overall exhibition.

CUSTOMS REGULATIONS
The rules and regulations for importing goods into Argentina are very strict. We strongly
suggest that you contact us before shipping any goods.
Deadline dates and most important Customs Regulations are listed below. Copy of our
International Shipping Instructions & Tariff is available upon request.

SHIPPING & PACKING YOUR EXHIBITS
TEMPORARY AND DEFINITIVE CARGO MUST BE SHIPPED, INVOICED AND PACKED
SEPARATELY.
Argentina has specific entry regulations, which must be followed, or your shipment will be
denied entry. Separate Invoices / Packing Lists and Airway bills / Bills of Lading are required
for PERMANENT and TEMPORARY entries.


TEMPORARY ENTRY
The venue in Buenos Aires is not a customs bonded area and temporary imports will require
a Bank Guarantee in order to avoid payment of duty. We will provide this guarantee upon
application.


PERMANENT ENTRY
CUSTOMS DUTIES & TAXES
All trade advertising, giveaways, promotional literature and expendable items must be
imported only as PERMANENT and are subject to heavy import duties and taxes.
This amount will be administered and assigned by the Customs Administration and will be
applicable only for consumable goods.


WOODEN CRATES & PALLETS
Be informed that, in our country, the entry of shipments packing in wooden crates and
pallets, require fumigation process in origin.
This procedure must be done before the shipment and the corresponding Official Certificate
must be included in the documentation.

If packing material is not wood, a Certificate of non-wooden Packing Material issued by the
Shipper / Exporter is required to include in the documentation.


ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
Permanent imports of electrical equipment require a Product Registration as per voltage,
prior to entering our country. This process will take, at least, 3 months for registering
product and high expenses will apply for registration purposes. Documents required will be
informed upon request. We strongly recommend temporary import of this kind of products.


TEXTIL PRODUCTS
Certificate of Origin legalized by the Argentine Consulate in the Country of Origin is
required for textile and fabric products and for all goods in which the country of Origin is
not a member of the WTA. Please check with us before shipping this kind of goods.


COURIER SHIPMENTS
Exhibition goods shipped through courier services have restricted regulations in Argentina.
Courier companies may not deliver shipments weighing more than 49 kg and for a value
exceeding of USD 700. All courier shipment must be sent duties & taxes paid.
Handling and delivery charges will apply for couriers consigned to us. Do not ship goods via
courier without our previous advice (see attached instructions).

       A.N.M.A.T. – National Agency for Medical and Medical/Dentistry Technology
                              http://www.anmat.gov.ar/

All material or equipments that are not approved in Argentina by A.N.M.A.T. must be
imported as TEMPORARY IMPORTATION (if this Agency issues a special authorization) and
have to return to origin at the end of the Congress.

We need the following documents before you send your shipment, in order to get the
TEMPORARY IMPORT SPECIAL AUTHORIZATION:

       FREE SALE CERTIFICATE for FOREIGN COUNTRIES
       Full information about the application for this material and the technical description
       IN SPANISH
       Brochures and/or web site (technical info)
       Pro-Forma Invoice and Packing List issued as usual
       Copy of Transportation Document (AWB – B/L – CRT)

VERY IMPORTANT: with this information we can start bureaucratic procedures in
A.N.M.A.T. (standard procedure need 6 labour days). We will then inform if your
merchandise was approved or not for a TEMPORARY IMPORT procedure.


                 MEDICAL & COSMETOLOGY PRODUCTS

All medical & cosmetology products have to be imported as PERMANENT IMPORTATION
because they will be consume and used as give-away at the Congress.
These kind or products can be imported only by Companies registered and authorized by
A.N.M.A.T. (Laboratories)
Also, products not approved in Argentina could be imported as PERMANENT
IMPORTATION only if the exhibitor ships with an importer registered and authorized by
A.N.M.A.T., and must also comply with a series of rules that this importer will inform you
in case you need to make a permanent importation.

1- The shipment should NOT be over 49 Kg. and its value should NOT be over the 700 USD

            ONSITE HANDLING AND STORAGE SERVICES

Onsite Handling Service             Deadline: April 12th, 2010


During Build-up and Break-down, handling equipment (forklifts and manpower) will
be on hand within the site to deliver Exhibitors’ freight to their stands.

The exhibitor can make use of 2 storage options:

       a) An Onsite Warehouse run by Site Operator
       b) An External Warehouse for goods or empty cases run by Site Operator

a) Onsite Warehouse:
The Exhibitor will be able to keep materials onsite at the duly authorised Warehouse.
The Operator Service can also provide in & out warehouse handling, as well as daily
repositions with its own handling cost.
Exhibitors will be responsible for goods’ insurance.
This service can be contracted onsite where available, unless for organisational reasons
the Exhibitor decides to make a previous reservation. For this purpose please contact
HOBBIT.

b) External Warehouse Empty Cases Storage:
This service includes: the removal of empty cases at the end of the Build-up for
storage, and their return at the beginning of the Break-down.
If HOBBIT is handling your cargo / shipment, this service will be included in our
quoted service.

One of main objectives of the exhibitor who participates in an
event is to achieve the first contact with potential clients of
their products. The compiled information during that meeting
will be essential for successfull marketing actions.


InterCongress provides to the commercial
exhibitor, an agile and efficient tool to get
complete information on those participants
who approach the stand.

Using a small and easy-to-handle wireless
barcode reader , the participant’s enrolment
number is obtained. This number relates
univocally to an enrolment form, which is
electronically loaded at the moment of the
accreditation.



                                       The provided equipment includes an internal
                                       memory that is able to store up to 200 readings,
                                       indicating the date and time of it.
                                       Once the full capacity of the reader is reached, our
                                       technicians will unload the information and within a
                                       few seconds, the reader memory will be empty
                                       and will allow them to continue working inmediatly.

                                       Once the event has finished, the Exhibitor will
                                       receive the compiled and carefully classified
                                       information, becoming an essential result of their
                                       participation in the event.
