About the Teacher:

Sri. Nandakumar has been studying with Sri B.K.S. Iyengar, Sri. Gitaji and
Sri.Prashanthji and conducting regular yoga courses at Swami Dayananda Ashram,
Rishikesh. During his long stay at Rishikesh, he made his yoga foundation from
Br.Rudradevji of Yoga Study Centre, Rishikesh and he got the opportunity to study with
Sri. Ramanand Patelji of USA. He has also been a student of Vedanta taught by H.H.
Swami Dayananda Saraswatiji.

Course Description:
All these courses will explore the technical details of Asana, Pranayama and Meditation
in the tradition of Iyengar Yoga. All are residential intensive courses with single
accommodation with delicious yogic cuisine.

From morning to evening, you’ll be engaged in different sessions of Asana, Pranayama,
Meditation, Chanting, Audio-video shows of Shri.Iyengar classes, Discussions on Yoga
Philosophy, Music & Bajans.

Chanting:


                                  You are going to invoke the God and the
                                  Rishies to impart the Yoga Vidya in this
                                  chanting session. Reciting Sanskrit Slokas
                                  (songs) and Vedic Mantras in rhythm in the
                                  early morning awaken all cells of the body. It
                                  alerts the mind to concentrate and helps you
                                  to focus on what you’re going to learn later.

Asana:



In the morning asana session, you’re going to                    experience the art of yoga prac
different sequences with clear instructions
from the teacher will reveal you new methods
and approaches of yogic practice.

Who is yogi? :

This session will unfold the yoga philosophy with its history, evolution and
present day scenario with the relevance of your daily practice.

Video:

Learning from the masters will always take us to unknown world. Video’s of
Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar’s classes and practice and Swami Dayananda’s
talks will be shown in this session.

Sanskrit:


                        When whole yoga system is being explained in
                        Sanskrit language and if you don’t know how
                        Sanskrit letters are look like, you’re not yet started
                        your journey into yoga practice. Here, you’re going
                        to learn basic Sanskrit. At the end of the course
                        you can read Sanskrit words, though it’ll take more
                        time to understand the meaning.



Asana & Pranayama:




                        In the evening session you’ll learn more about
                        technical details of asana, how to use props and
                        the art of breathing.




Meditation:




                            A guided meditation to compete your yoga practice.

Satsang& Bajans:


A time to unfold the mysteries of yoga through Q&A and discussion.
Different mind’s enquiry about yoga will be analysed by analyzing their
questions. With this, enjoy Kirtans, Bajans and concerts from different
musicians by listening and singing with them. Sing from the heart so that
you know yourself in the process.

                           NOTE TO THE APPLICANTS
                        (To be retained by the applicants)


1. This residential yoga course is held at the enchanting bank of river Ganga, Arsha
   Vidya Pitham (Swami Dayananda Ashram) Rishikesh.
2. It has a wonderful bookstore, library, and two priests to perform rituals in the
   temple. You are more than welcome to join-in or observe the daily morning and
   evening pujas (prayer rituals). Individual pujas can be arranged.
3. Ashram yoga studio is well equipped. If you want to use your own mats, you are
   welcome to do that.
4. All meals are delicious vegetarian cuisine.
5. Tobacco, alcohol, recreational drugs and non-vegetarian foods are not welcome
   on the grounds. No consumption of these things should take place inside the
   ashram.
6. The participants will have to vacate the rooms before noon the next day after the
   last day of the program. If you want to stay further please inform early.
7. Please make arrangements for your onward & return journey, in advance, if you
   will be traveling by the train in India.
8. No refund for cancellation. (Unless otherwise if anyone fill your place)
