                   Sunday April 18th, 2010

   Earth Day on Oakland Bay is a family friendly event that will feature local
   resource agencies working to protect, conserve and sustainably use the
 natural resources found in Mason County such as clean water, native plants,
                             shellfish and more!

                                  Event Schedule

 1 pm Birding on Oakland Bay with area biologist Victoria Fursman Book
 2 pm Saltwater Plant Walk & Shoreline Restoration
 3 pm Shellfish 101: Introduction to Oysters, Clams & other Bivalves

        •   Be a “Scientist for the Day” by experimenting with water quality
            monitoring techniques, testing pH, salinity, and more!
        •   FREE t-shirt for workshop participants!
        •   FREE Shellfish BBQ (Sponsored by Taylor Shellfish)!
        •   FREE posters, stickers and information from Puget Sound Starts
        •   Informational Booths!
        •   Family Friendly Interactive Games and Activities
        •   Saltwater touch tank
        •   Food booth sponsored by Mason County 4-H
        •   Learn about shoreline restoration & plant a native plant for Earth Day!

Bremerton.for 3.3 miles. Site
will be on the right.

From Belfair: Follow State
Route 3 south for 19.5 miles.
