December 17, 2003 James J. Bendell, M. D., Ph. D., Completes His American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Exam Valley, Alabama—James J. Bendell, M.D., completed his Board examination by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in November. The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) is an independent, non- profit organization that certifies obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States. Founded in 1927, the ABOG is one of 24 specialty Boards recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. Certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology is granted following a written and oral examination assessing expertise in the current medical and surgical management of patients. Dr. Bendell received his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and his Doctorate of Medicine from McMaster University in Ontario. He also holds his Doctorate of Philosophy in Reproductive Physiology and Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto. He has been practicing with Lanier Health Services since December of 2002. Dr. Bendell’s office is located at The Women’s Center in LaGrange, Georgia on 300 Broome Street.
