                Friendship Program

         Do you have a learning difference?
        Are you aged between 10 - 13 years?
  Do you want to have fun and make some new

              Then our friendship program may be for you!
 The FamilyCare Friendship Program has been designed to assist children to
   develop social skills with peers, establish and maintain friendships, and
         understand and cope with transition, change and anxiety.

 The program aims to offer a structured, safe, supportive and age appropriate
       program to assist and educate young people with learning or social
        differences to develop or enhance their social and living skills.
 Young people aged 10 -13 years, with High Functioning Autism, Asperger
  Syndrome or, high functioning children with learning differences or social
   skills deficits, are suitable for this program. Participants meet weekly for
     2.5 hours, with the program being a minimum of 12 week duration.

                              This program also aims to provide education, support
                                and assistance to parents, carers and families and
                                some parent participation will be required for some
                                            The next program will commence
                                           Monday 17th August, and conclude
                                                 23rd November, 2009.
