The Internship Program
Picture yourself lobbying Members of Congress on trade promotion, discussing a "sound dollar" policy with business executives, or creating a market plan for a top wealth management firm. The Business and Information Technology Program will teach you the skills you need to operate in the business world with qualified mentors and specialists. This program is a stepping stone for college students to gain the experience required to succeed in these highly competitive fields. You will learn how legislation affects business and how business influences decisions made on Capitol Hill. Whether your major is finance, economics, business administration, accounting, international business, computer science or marketing, this program will help you achieve your career goals.
Programming
Students have the opportunity to attend congressional hearings on business legislation and briefings by representatives of major business institutions such as the International Finance Corporation, Microsoft Corporation's Washington office, the International Monetary Fund and the Federal Reserve. They also attend the Congressional Speaker Series with Members of Congress, visit embassies, and attend Presidential Lectures with prominent people such as former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer, former Attorney General Edwin Meese III, and former deputy Attorney General Eric Holder.

Write articles for business and trade-related publications Research stocks, bonds, and mutual funds Develop programs to track Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) Work on Smart Cards deployment for the federal government Analyze trends in international trade Attend business hearings on Capitol Hill and more...
