Metaframe XP using Mac OS X IMPORTANT: Clifford Chance has limited ability to troubleshoot and assist MAC product and setup. This document is strictly for advanced users who know the Mac Operating System. Note Mac OS X must install IE browser 5.2.3 Mac OS 8.1 to 9.x, must install IE browser 5.1.7 For IE Browser you can download it from http://www.microsoft.com/mac/ie All Mac users I. Downloading and installing the client Download the Citrix ICA Client onto your desktop. Extract the .zip file once you have downloaded. It should create a “Citrix ICA Client” folder. Verify that you see two Certificates (ThawteCA.crt and (ThawteDC.crt) on the folder „Citrix ICA Client‟, then „keystore‟, then „CA certs‟. Installation is now completed. You may now login to system via: http://AmericasWeb.CliffordChance.com II. MAC OS 8.1 to 9.x with IE browser ver. 5.1.7 Must complete the following steps: (a) Associating (.asp) files to open via MAC You must associate Citrix to open .asp files instead of Apple System Profiler. In IE, when you go to the Web Interface link, it should create a .asp file on your desktop (eg. Launch.asp) Click on the .asp file, then click on file -> Get Info. Rename this to boilerplate.asp. Click on Open With tab, change from Apple System Profiler to Citrix ICA Client 6.x. Click on Change All… button to confirm that you will open all .asp files with Citrix. (b) Associating IE to open .asp files via Citrix. Launch Internet Explorer Select Edit, then Preferences In Receiving Files : Download Options : Download Destination, select: Always use download location from appropriate file helpers In the left panel of the Preferences dialog box, under Receiving Files, select File Helpers Click Add to display the Edit File Helper dialog box In the Description field, type ICA file In the Extension field, type asp In the MIME Type field, type application/x-ica In the File Type section of the dialog box, click Browse to go to the location of the ICA Macintosh client and select Citrix ICA Client and click Open Enter TEXT in the File Type box Select the Plain Text radio button and Use for Incoming, Use for outgoing check boxes In Download Destination, select Download to: Temporary Items Folder instead of "Download folder", as described belowSelect Post-Process with Application from the How to Handle drop down list Click on the Browse button and select Citrix ICA Client (not RunCitrix) from the ICA Macintosh client folder Click OK
