       ResNet INSTRUCTIONS – MAC OS X (Pre-Leopard)
   ResNet WILL ONLY WORK IF THE ETHERNET CABLE IS PLUGGED INTO THE
                    BOTTOM PORT – AS SHOWN BELOW

Note: Leave the phone cable in the top gray
coloured port, do not unplug it




1. Click on the apple menu:

   Select System Preferences




   •   Click Network

2. Click on the arrow to the right of Show:
   • Select Network Port Configurations




3. Check Built-in Ethernet

4. Select Built-in-Ethernet and drag it to the top of
   the list




5. Click Apply Now




6. Click on the arrows to the right of Show:
       Select Built-in-Ethernet
Built-in-Ethernet should now be visible in the Show field

7. Click the TCP/IP tab

8. Click on the arrow beside Configure IPv4:
   •    Select Using DHCP
Using DHCP should now be visible in the Configure IPv4 field

9    Click Apply Now

10. Click Renew DHCP Lease


You should now be connected to the Internet
