     Opening Week Volunteers




The new Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre will be officially
opened on Saturday 1 March 2008. There will be a week of
celebrations and activities happening at the new Centre in the week
leading up to the Official opening. Queanbeyan City Council is
seeking expressions of interest from members of the community who
are willing to volunteer to assist with taking groups of people on tours
of the new Centre. Volunteers will be required to lead regular tours of
the Centre during the week of Sunday 24 to Friday 29 February,
during the day from 10am – 4pm.
A number of orientation and training sessions will be provided for
volunteers from Monday 18 February 2008. Attendance at a training
session will be essential. Staff will be on hand to provide support and
assistance to volunteers. Refreshments will be provided.
This will be a unique opportunity to be among the first people in the
community to have access to all public and backstage areas of the new
Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre.
