Wednesday 30 May                    VINNETTE. Best known for her raunchy Tina Turner cabarets, Vinnette also has
                                    been influenced by Gladys Knight, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, Diana Ross,
                                    Aretha Franklyn and Shirley Bassey. She was with the original company of
                                    „Starlight Express‟ and has appeared in many West End musicals, including Kiss Me
                                    Kate (Old Vic) and Fame (Cambridge Theatre). She was an „Ikette‟ on Tina Turner‟s
                                    1986 album, Breaking Every Rule, and has toured with Little and Large, Cannon and
                                    Ball and Jimmy Tarbuck. Tonight she will be with her band, singing her own style of
                                    blues with a „bit of Tina Turner‟. £6 Members. £8 Guests.

Wednesday 13 June                   TWICKENHAM FESTIVAL NIGHT – THE DANIEL SMITH BLUES BAND.
                                    Daniel Smith has been described by Blueprint Magazine as “A serious challenger to
                                    Jools Holland as Britain’s number one boogie pianist”, and by Paul Jones on BBC
                                    Radio 2 as “Absolutely brilliant - A boogie piano masestro with a top class band.”
                                    Daniel is joined by John „T-Bone‟ Taylor on guitar, Peter Miles on drums, and Jim
                                    Mercer on bass. £6 Members. £8 Guests.

Sunday 17 June                      STRAWBERRY HILL MUSIC DAY. Outdoor, family music event organised by The
                                    Rugby Football Union, supporting the restoration of Strawberry Hill House, featuring
                                    Tom Nolan & The Bluescasters and Guests from The Eel Pie Club, The
                                    Mustangs, The BibleCodeSundays, Adam Norsworthy, The Vibrants, Marner
                                    Brown, The Deputies, The Draytones, Dark Ska and The Groove Academy.
                                    12 noon-7:30 pm, Strawberry Hill House Gardens, Waldegrave Road, Twickenham.

Wednesday 27 June                   VINTAGE BLUES BAND. Classy rockin‟ rhythm n blues from blistering guitar duo,
                                    Ray Majors (ex Mott The Hoople and The Yardbirds) and Tom Nolan, plus Rick
                                    Biddulph on bass and Chris Hunt (Lonnie Donegan Band) on drums.

.Wednesday 11 July                  THE ALI MAC BAND. Ali Mackenzie used to be with The Birds. Ali (who hasn‟t
                                    changed at all over the years since he played with Ronnie Wood in this band) still
                                    gives a great performance and his new 6-piece band, which includes Ali on vocals,
                                    Simon Bishop and Dean Barnes on guitar, Dave Lennox on keyboards, Lee Feltham
                                    on drums and Nick Bevan on bass, has had some terrific reviews.

Wednesday 25 July                   LEAF HOUND. Fantastic recently re-formed cult rock band whose late „60‟s album,
                                    Growers of Mushrooms is changing hands on the net for up to $2,000. This album
                                    has recently been re-released with one new track and a new album is due to be
                                    released shortly. Led by original Leaf Hound‟s „rock-god‟, Peter French, on vocals,
                                    (also of Atomic Rooster and Cactus fame), with Luke Rayner playing superb guitar,
                                    this band is receiving great reviews. See their website at www.leafhound.net to

Wednesday 8 August                  THE GOOD OLD BOYS. An all-star rock n blues band featuring Nick Simper on
                                    bass and vocals (founder member of Deep Purple and Johnny Kidd and The Pirates),
                                    Peter Parks on guitar and vocals (who has played with BB King, Paul McCartney and
                                    Simple Minds), Alan Barratt on lead vocals (who has played with Cliff Bennett & The
                                    Rebel Rousers, Simon Bishop (BBC session guitarist who has played with
                                    Rennaissance), plus Richard Hudson (Strawbs and Rick Wakeman Band).

Wednesday 22 August         HOGG. Return by popular demand of this 3-piece rockin‟ RnB band, which includes
                            the charismatic John Hogg on guitar and vocals, Jesse Wood (son of Ronnie) on
                            bass, and Martin Wright on drums. They were a huge hit at the Club in March and
                            again at the ART tribute. Check out their website and hear some of their music at

Wednesday 5 September       THE BLUE BISHOPS. Hard-edged British Blues/Rock led by guitarist/slide player
                            Simon Burrett (Chicken Shack, Tony Macphee, Duster Bennett, Jethro Tull), lead
                            vocalist/harmonica/guitar player, Geoff Grange (Sons of Heroes, Bill Wyman‟s
                            Rhythm Kings, Phil Collins, Terence Trent Darby), Jim Rodford (The Zombies, Argent
                            and The Kinks) on bass and Justin Hildreth (Joan Armatrading, Lene Lovich) on
                            drums. £8 Members. £10 Guests.

Wednesday 19 September      STAN WEBB’S CHICKEN SHACK. Talented guitarist and vocalist, Stan Webb, is
                            regarded by many as one of the great unsung heroes of British blues music. Some
                            say his success should have surpassed that of Clapton. The band had two chart hits
                            in 1969 with I’d Rather Go Blind (with Christine Perfect on vocals) and Tears in The
                            Wind. Stan Webb remains a much respected guitarist whose contribution to early
                            British blues music continues to gain recognition. He has just finished touring with
                            John Mayall and we are delighted to welcome him to the Club. The current line-up of
                            his band is Stan on guitar/vocals, Gary Davis on guitar, Jim Rudge on bass, and Mick
                            Jones on drums.

Wednesday 3 October         THE SHAKEY VICK BLUES BAND + CHRIS YOULDEN + SPECIAL GUESTS
                            Chris Youlden, is considered one of Britain‟s best blues vocalists. His time with
                            Savoy Brown in the late sixties and early seventies produced what critics and fans
                            alike consider to be some of the best UK Blues. After 40 years, Chris has got
                            together with his old friend, Graham Vickery (Shakey Vick), and recorded a
                            new album „Maxwell Street’ to celebrate the blues music that first inspired
                            him. £6 Members. £8 Guests.

Wednesday 17 October        TOM NOLAN AND THE BLUESCASTERS + SPECIAL GUEST (tba). An uplifting
                            night of Richmond rhythm n blues, slide guitar and Rolling Stones‟ favourites from
                            Tom Nolan, Rick Biddulph and Chris Hunt. Tom will be inviting along a special guest
                            – but we don‟t know who yet. £6 Members. £8 Guests.

Wednesday 31 October        THE ROBIN BIBI BAND. One of the finest blues guitarists in London and a favourite
                            at The Eel Pie Club, Robin was part of The Pretty Things and has backed artists
                            such as Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Ben E King and Helen Shapiro. His band is
                            acclaimed as „exuberant, passionate, dynamic, exciting and fun‟!

Wednesday 14 November       BIG DEZ They were a massive hit at the Club in March 2006 and we are delighted
                            to welcome back this Austin, Texas-style Franco/American 6-piece blues band, led
                            by blistering guitarist, Phil Fernandez. £6 Members. £8 Guests.

Wednesday 28 November       BLUES PACK. 3 legendary vocalists: Paul Cox (described by Paul Jones (Radio
                            2) as “The Best Voice in the UK”), Earl Green (winner of the British Blues
                            Connection's Male Vocalist Award in 1996 and 1997and Blues in Britain Vocalist
                            Award 2000 and 2002) and John Smyth (critically acclaimed by USA Blues Review).
                            They will be backed by Mike Summerland on guitar, Rob Mills on keyboards, Pete
                            Miles on drums and Al Maclow on bass. £6 Members. £8 Guests.
