Seismic Data Manager
CDA is seeking an experienced seismic data management professional for the new
Seismic DataStore and other CDA seismic data initiatives.
A senior member of the CDA Management Team, responsible for the successful operation and
development of the Seismic DataStore.
The Seismic Data Manager will:
ensure that CDA and the Seismic DataStore service provider fully meet their operational
and service responsibilities to users and other stakeholders;
work with the CDA community to develop and apply practical seismic data management
practices, processes and standards in all operational areas; and
work with users to identify, specify and implement developments and improvements in
CDA’s seismic data management services.
The successful candidate will have:
at least 5 years of practical seismic data management experience in the UK;
strong project management skills and a record of successful project delivery;
extensive supporting knowledge of seismic acquisition, processing and interpretation; and
an excellent understanding of current web technologies and web-based systems including
database management and relevant software applications.
The successful candidate will be sef-motivated and equally at ease working independently and
as part of the CDA Management Team. Well developed inter-personal, communication and
presentation skills are also essential.
This is a high profile position within the industy and requires sentitive professional relationships
to be developed and maintained with key CDA stakeholders.
The position offers a competitive remuneration package based in either London or Aberdeen.

The CDA Seismic DataStore is a shared digital store of UKCS post-stack seismic data operated for CDA by
Schlumberger Information Solutions under a contract awarded in February 2009.
