					             Canadian ICT Partnering Mission to Hong Kong
                           April 12 – 17, 2010

The Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong, in partnership with The Hong Kong Trade
Development Council (HKTDC) and The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in
Canada, would like to invite Canadian companies to participate in the International ICT Expo
(http://ictexpo.com) scheduled for April 13-16, 2010 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition
Centre:

          As a panel exhibitor sharing the space and facilities with other exhibitors of the
          Canadian National Pavilion at the International ICT Expo; or
          As an individual exhibitor renting an individual booth; or
          As a trade visitor

All the Canadian delegates will also be invited to join a mission program specially designed to
increase their access to partnership and business opportunities in Hong Kong, Mainland China
and the region.

This Mission is also supported by the following Organizations and Provincial

About the International ICT Expo (http://ictexpo.com):

The International ICT Expo is an annual exhibition with conferences and seminars organized by
the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. It is co-organized by the Torch Centre of the Ministry
of Science & Technology of the People’s Republic of China and the Office of the Government Chief
Information Officer of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. It has
established itself as the leading information and communications event platform in Asia. Buyers,
industry players and companies from around the world come to the Expo looking for solutions,
partners and outsourcing opportunities in the Greater China region. It is a “one-stop” B2B venue
for exhibitors to establish contact with clients from the region and explore business partnerships
with resellers and distributors.

Some of the potential sub-sectors include:

   •       E-Logistics & Retail Technologies    •       Other ICT Related Services
   •       Data warehousing

At the April 2009 International ICT Expo, there were 568 exhibitors from 15 countries & regions
(including group pavilions from Mainland China, Taiwan, Australia, Canada, India and the
Philippines). More than 28,000 visitors from over 120 countries & regions actively participated in
the event.

A Client Satisfaction Survey of the Canadian ICT Partnering Mission to the event was conducted
by the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong and key findings indicated that:

       •    100% found that the event Somewhat/Very Much contributed to their understanding of
            foreign markets, potential buyers and business opportunities
       •    92% were Satisfied/Very Satisfied with Access New Markets
       •    89% were Satisfied/Very Satisfied with Identify Agent/Distributor
       •    79% were Satisfied/Very Satisfied with Identify Sales Leads
       •    100% were Satisfied/Very Satisfied with Coordination/Logistics/Trouble-shooting
       •    83% found the Match-making Session Useful/Very Useful

2010 Mission deliverables:

Mission members will benefit from the full range of value-adding activities arranged for them
including: exhibiting at the Canadian Pavilion at ICT Expo 2010, a market briefing, a business
seminar where delegates introduce their companies to a HK business audience, pre-arranged
business matching service and individual meetings, and the various ICT Expo Conferences and
Seminars. These are designed to facilitate the delegates in achieving the following:

•    network with ICT leaders and contacts;
•    explore potential business and partnership opportunities.

Cost of participation:

There is no registration fee required to join this delegation. However, delegates are responsible
for their respective airfares, hotel accommodation (other than the pre-approved sponsored
nights), and incidental expenses.
