							Virgin Atlantic Airways Apprenticeship Scheme

This is a 3 year apprenticeship that covers all modules of EASA Part 66
Cat A, and B1 or B2 (dependant upon the requirement).

Minimum qualifications are:-

4 x GCSE’s Grade C or above in all of the following subjects:-

   •   English Language
   •   Maths
   •   Science
   •   + one other

You must hold certificates in these subjects (not predicted grades) at the
time of application.

The apprenticeship is primarily based at Gatwick, with some work experience
carried out at Heathrow.

You must have the right to live and work unrestricted in the UK.

Starting Salary – Approx £12 000

If you successfully complete the 3 year ‘Apprenticeship’ your qualifications will
be as follows:-

   •   NVQ Level 3 – Aeronautical Engineering
   •   City & Guilds – 2661
   •   EASA Part 66 Category ‘A’ – Line Maintenance Certifying Mechanic
   •   EASA Part 66 Category ‘B’ – Line Maintenance Certifying Technician

Note – It is possible to be over-qualified for the position of ‘Apprentice
Engineer’ if you already hold any form of Engineers Licence, or a significant
number of EASA 66 Modules at either A or B level.
