                                                                          During 2001, Meydenbauer Center and the city of Bellevue played host to a variety of

                                                                          large groups. Meydenbauer Center has the space, equipment and staff to accommodate the

                                                                          largest events and corporate meetings on the Eastside.

                                                                          In the 4th quarter, these groups, which numbered in size from 400 to 3,000 people, included the

                                                                          National Association of Investors conference and trade show, the Washington Turf and Landscape

                                                                          Show—sponsored by the Western Washington Golf Course Superintendent’s Association, and the

                                                                          40th Northwest Mathematics Conference. In addition, a first time event for Meydenbauer Center was

                                                                          the USA National Karate-Do Federation’s Junior Olympics event which drew over 1,000 participants

                                                                          and spectators. “After the events of September 11, it was a wonderful coming together for our

                                                                          organization and members,” according to the federation’s spokesperson. “And the hospitality at

                                                                          Meydenbauer Center was great,” she added.
