               Liaison Observation #2
              TG1 Should wait for v1.1
  • The Bluetooth SIG continues to be interested in
    the IEEE Standards-Making Process
  • The Bluetooth SIG has been advised of the impact
of the v1.1 errata delay and understands the IEEE
    Project Planning issues
  • The IEEE 802.15 Task Group 1 needs to review
their schedule and advise the BSIG what and when
they are needed in terms of v1.1, TTCN, etc.
During Session #8/Scottsdale TG1 will update the BSIG PM 22Sep00 or sooner.

                Liaison Observation #3
                WG needs to use liaisons
 15Sep00 BSIG-IEEE TG Chairs:
 • - [AR Ian Gifford] In a future IEEE-PM meeting, discuss the process by which
the IEEE would maintain a spec after accreditation. (This may determine
whether the IEEE should accredit BT 1.1 or a more stable version)
 • - [AR Ian Gifford] Review the status and milestones of IEEE's SDL model at
the Scottsdale meeting. Estimate effort required by the SIG, should the SIG be
interested in accelerating the schedule. Send meeting minutes to Francis.
 • - [ AR Francis] Discuss SDL model resource requirements ( probably from
BTI) at one of the next PM meetings and decide whether the SIG can staff and
commit to this activity. Communicate the decision back to Ian Gifford.
 • - [Ian Gifford]: Define with IEEE's attorney, a process or solution for ensuring
that errata submitted by IEEE to the SIG do not violate the SIG's IP policy.
 • - [Tom Siep] Send minutes from IEEE radio2 study group meetings, to the
    SIG (Francis)
 • - [Francis & Ian] : Set up a follow-up meeting between SIG PMs and IEEE
    802.15 chairs in late October.
