Holiday Apartment, Las Palmeras 54 Nerja, Andalucia About Nerja Nerja is a small and lively, very-Andalucian seaside resort about 30 miles east of Málaga where the Sierra Almijara meets the Mediterranean. Nerja is described in many holiday brochures. It has also been featured in TV holiday programmes, recently by ITV as “the best kept secret on the Costa del Sol”. The picturesque area is popular with Spanish and foreign visitors alike for family apartment and villa holidays. Las Palmeras is a modern, Andalucian-style apartment building within a few minutes walk from the centre of Nerja and the beach. Its private garden overlooks Salon beach with a panoramic view of Nerja church, the Balcón de Europa (see pics below), mountainous coastline and the sea. Las Palmeras is very conveniently placed for Nerja’s central shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, post office, payphones, buses, taxis, beaches, church, cultural centre, etc. The garden has a large grassed area for relaxation and sunbathing amongst flowers and palm trees, and a large circular swimming pool and a paddling pool. Street parking is available just outside Las Palmeras. The apartment 1 bedroom apartment – sleep 2/3 people The apartment is at ground level upon entering and on the first floor from the garden, facing the sea, decorated and furnished to complement a relaxed summer holiday mood, equipped for two-three persons self- catering. There are some short flights of steps between the main entrance and the apartment. The apartment is managed by the owner who lives a few minutes away. The apartment is screened from street sounds on the quiet, garden and sea side of the building; the sounds of waves on the beach and birds in the palm trees are features of the tranquil setting. It comprises a lounge-diner with sliding glass doors to balcony, view of garden and sea. Andalucian arch to an open kitchen – newly installed with granite worktop, full oven, fridge-freezer and washing machine, equipped for self-catering. Large double bedroom with twin beds, a glass door to small balcony with view of garden and sea. Bathroom with bath/shower. Reservation: The apartment is offered year round. You can also email: email@example.com A deposit of 25% of the booking fee is required to confirm your booking. Six weeks before your holiday, you send us the balance of the total amount agreed for the reservation and we will advise of arrangements to pick up keys. You will have use of the apartment and its facilities including electricity, water, a set of laundry items weekly and use of Las Palmeras community facilities, which include the swimming pool, if and when it is filled, normally year round. We ask for “no smoking” inside the apartment but ashtrays are provided for the balcony. The apartment is cleaned and prepared ready for your arrival. If your stay is for longer than a week, clean linen will be provided, if you would also like the apartment cleaned on a weekly basis this can be arranged and there is a 25 euro charge per cleaning. On departure days you may be asked to vacate the apartment by 10am to allow for cleaning – but can arrange to leave your bags there should your flight be later. Check in time is 3pm unless it is available sooner. Bookings over 14 nights are reduced by 10% for all nights after the 14th, up to 28 nights. When periods start or end in different months, total amounts are calculated from more than one amount per week as appropriate. Extras: • Third person – 30 euros per week. • Cot & mattress rental, laundry, etc. For one infant: 35 euros per week. • Portable air-conditioning unit – 30 euros per week. • Welcome breakfast food in the fridge: 10 euros. Deposit: 25% of total to confirm a reservation. Balance: Due 6 weeks prior to a reservation start date. Also there is a 100 euros security deposit, refundable upon return of keys at the end of your stay. Cancellation: If you cancel after the deposit but before paying the balance, the deposit is not refunded. If you cancel after the balance has been received, but before midday on the 15th day immediately preceding the reservation start date, the cancellation charge is 70% of the total amount agreed (ie 30% refund). If you cancel after midday on the 15th day immediately preceding the reservation start there is no refund. Getting here From Málaga Airport to Nerja Taxi: If requested we can arrange for a Nerja taxi to meet you. The single fare is currently about 65 euros. Plenty of taxis are also available at the airport taxi rank but this will currently cost about 95 euros. Hire Car: You can book a hire car to collect at the airport on arrival through your travel agent, or by phone, fax or online direct with a local Málaga or Nerja company located at the airport. The cost of a small car for one week compares well with the return taxi fare. More information is available on request. Public Transport: Shuttle buses and trains run between Málaga Airport and Málaga bus station where Nerja buses leave about ten times a day from 8am to 8pm. The bus fare is around 5 euros; a short taxi ride from the Nerja bus stop to Las Palmeras completes the journey and costs 5 euros. More details available on request.
