4240 ARCHITECTURE ANNOUNCES NEXT GENERATION OF TALENT AND LEADERSHIP New Senior Associates Louis Bieker and Andrea Wood, both seasoned designers returning to Denver, carry on 4240’s tradition for high-quality architecture. Chicago [IL] and Denver [CO], August, 2006 – 4240 Architecture Inc. – an architecture, interiors, and planning firm with a portfolio of 6.8 million square feet and growing – announced the advancement of two Senior Associates and six Associates in their two offices, Chicago and Denver. The firm’s projects are located across the United States from California to Vermont and, internationally, from Shanghai to Paris. “By promoting top professionals who have shown great talent, we have positioned them to be the next generation of leadership,” asserts 4240 President Peter H. Dominick, Jr., FAIA. “Every day they make it possible for us to create outstanding architecture that has economic and social value.” 4240 Architecture is an authority in resort architecture and destination hotels, high-end housing, new communities, ranch stewardship/sustainable development, and commercial structures. Its clientele includes Vail Resort Development Company, St. Joe Company, Forest City Enterprises, Shea Homes, East West Partners, Hammes Company, and Hamilton Partners. Louis Bieker, AIA, LEED®, serves as project designer and project manager on numerous projects in Vail, Colorado, including the Ritz-Carlton Residences at Vail, the million-square-foot West Lionshead Redevelopment Master Plan, and a 15,000-square-foot mixed-use building in Vail Village. Past projects include a variety of museums, academic facilities, transportation, and commercial projects. Before joining 4240, Louis served as Director of Design at Fong & Chan Architects in San Francisco. He earned a Master of Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Andrea Lawrence Wood, 4240’s new Director of Interior Design, participates on many of 4240’s architectural projects and other projects commissioned independently with the 4240 Interiors group. Current interiors include the 5-star Crescent Mountain Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Vail’s Front Door Spa and Skier Services in Vail, Colorado. A graduate of the Interior Design Institute in Denver, Andrea founded Andrea Lawrence Wood Interior Design in 1982 and completed diverse commercial and residential projects for clients from all over the world. She returned to 4240 in 2005 after two years in practice in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, California. Andrea currently serves as vice president of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality. Office Administrator Andria L. Brody is a Certified Design Administrator who recently served as National Vice President of the Society of Design Administration. Andria previously worked for the US Soccer Federation in Colorado Springs. She received her education from the University of California, the University of Colorado, and Denver University. Matthew Cecere, LEED®, has worked on 4240 Architecture’s Cheyenne Mountain State Park Visitor Center, Lodge, and Cabins; the Snowmass Base Village master plan; and the East 29th Avenue Town Center at Stapleton. Matthew, who volunteers for USGBC’s Greenbuild, earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Roger Williams University. Jeremy Jonathon Green’s current projects include Peace Lutheran Church in Naperville, Illinois, and Park at One Riverfront, a new high-end residential building in downtown Denver. Previously, he worked on 4240’s design for the Durango Mountain Resort in Durango, Colorado. Jeremy, who has traveled throughout the former Soviet Union, Europe and the Middle East, earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Thomas Hanley’s experience at 4240 includes the 632 West Deming Residence, the Montgomery Residence, Park at One Riverfront, the 2501 Larimer Street Residences, and several Homeland Security Centers for the General Services Administration. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture, both from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Andy McRae, LEED®, is currently working on the Sundial House in Highlands Ranch, Colorado; the Birch/ Verde Mixed-Use Development in Flagstaff, Arizona; and Concert Hall Plaza in Vail, Colorado. Andy earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Oklahoma State University. He also designs and builds furniture. Brandon F. Mixon is currently working on the Crescent Mountain Resort and a high-end residential building at Riverfront Park in Denver. He previously worked on The Delgany residences and the East 29th Avenue Town Center at Stapleton. Brandon graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.
