The Flemington Neighbourhood House offers a variety of recreational and
educational programs such as creative arts, cooking and gardening, computer

The Centre also supports the Flemington and Kensington Mentor Program –
providing adult role models to young people, primarily refugees, aged

The Kensington Neighbourhood Centre provides various short courses and

Frontyard offers a collection of services located together to address the
physical, emotional and social needs of young people aged 12 to 25 years
who spend time in Melbourne CBD and are homeless or at risk of
homelessness. Young people can access support in relation to:

      computer access;
      employment;
      family support and mediation;

Carlton Parkville Youth Service is located in Carlton and provides generalist
youth services to young people aged 12 to 25 years in the Carlton/Parkville
area. Carlton Parkville Youth Service provides a holistic approach to youth

The Stopover Youth Refuge is a crisis accommodation service for young

The centre provides programs and opportunities for recreation and social
interaction for people with psychiatric disabilities. Languages spoken include
Balinese, Cantonese, Greek, Spanish, Vietnamese. May be some minimal

12noon & 1.00pm to 5.00pm, Mon to Fri, with a telephone answering machine
available when the office is unattended.

Programs include:

      Community Connections (Outreach case management for people with
       a mental health diagnosis specifically living in hostels, low cost hotels
       or rooming houses)

      Outreach/Café Meals Program (providing meals for people who are
       isolated, homeless or at risk of homelessness – must be Home and
       Community Car (HACC) eligible (experiencing a disability))

      Outreach Podiatry (service for people who are HACC eligible and
       experiencing homelessness)


      Common Ground (Day Program for people aged 18 and over which
       assists people who have experienced a mental illness to have an
       improved quality of life, learn or relearn the skills of daily living,
       participate in social, recreational, educational and vocational activities
       and to live successfully in the community. Common Ground offers open
       access between 1.00 and 3.30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and
       Fridays at the Gracie Street site. The Drop In room is equipped with
       pool, table tennis and soccer tables. A music system is available and
       coffee, tea or chocolate is provided.

       Structured Activities Common Ground offer include:
