CONFIRMATION:                 You will be notified if a class is full as soon as possible.
                              Confirmation notifications will be included in the final
                              report card (Prim. & Interm.Schools) others mailed end of May.
PRE-REGISTRATION:             Pre-registration is required for all classes (including Hoops and Football Camps). The
grades listed for each course are the grades your child/children will be entering in the fall of 2010. Students must be
attending a school in the L-C School District in the fall or their child-care provider must live in the L-C School Dist.

CANCELLATIONS:                          Classes will not be conducted without sufficient enrollment. When maximum
                                        capacity has been reached for any class, registration for that class will be
                                        closed. If space is available in other classes, you will be notified.

REFUND POLICY:                          If it is necessary for you to cancel, you must do so three weeks before the
                                        classes start in order for your fee to be refunded (by May 21, 2010).

                                        others are three weeks long.

L-C BAND             Band will be offered through the school system over the summer. If you are interested in practices
please sign up with the band instructor in your building as soon as possible to get the times that work into your summer
schedule.

All Exploration Camp offerings are optional opportunities for you school age children. Bussing WILL NOT be provided.
It is your responsibility to transport your child/children to and from school. If you bring your children more than 5
minutes before classes start, you are responsible for their care and must stay with your child. It is vital that you are
prompt in picking your child up for classes. Be sure to make a copy of the courses and form of payment. It is
important that students attend daily. It is our goal to make this a wonderful experience for everyone.

The course will cover the basics of girls’ fastpitch softball. Fielding, throwing, hitting, bunting, base running, catching
and pitching will be some of the many skills covered in this course. Go to the Sports Complex

Hoops Camp is designed for the skill levels of young aspiring basketball players. This camp will introduce the basics of
basketball in an exciting energetic fashion. These fundamentals include dribbling skill work, form shooting with shot
progression and an introduction to overall basketball concepts and awards will be part of the rewarding experience.

This program is open to girls of all abilitiy levels, grades 3-9. Here you will master the volleyball fundamentals,
develop proper mechanics, and gain valuable game play experience. It is a MUST that you fill out the L-C Volleyball
form on both sides. Go directly to the Intermediate School Gym.

L-C BOY’S BASKETBALL                                            $10.00                          July 12-Aug 6

The focus of these basketball sessions will be skill work surrounding the game of basketball. Athletes will have access
to a full court for scrimmaging, side courts for daily skill competitions, and , and shooting machines to perfect proper
shooting mechanics. Go directly to the Primary School Gym.

THE LITTLE “BIG” LEAGUES                                      $5.00            Instructor: Mr. Brusky & Mr. Jorgensen

Learn the skills that will make you a better baseball player. Baseball fundamentals, game situations, and game
strategies will be covered in the sessions. Baseball games will be played to incorporate these techniques in live play.
Maybe some day we will see you in the Big Leagues. Participants are required to bring their own baseball glove.
Bats and balls will be provided.
Day 1 - meet in the Interm School inside the front doors – teacher will walk you to the Sports Complex.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE EDUCATION (Gr. 4 8 8:30-11:30)                        $15.00
Limit of 45 students!                                           Instructors: Mr. Seering, Ms. Delwiche, Ms. Otradovec
Are you ready for physical adventures in our area? This class offers students the ability to participate an array of
outdoors activities! Our main goal is to for the students to have fun and learn lifetime skills. Activities include: Big
Base, PaintBall Nerfball, Capture the Flag, Team Challenges, roller skating, fishing, biking the Ahnappe State Trail and
hiking at Potowatomi and Point Beach State Park. Students should have a fishing pole, a bike that “WORKS”, and
helmet. If you do not have these one of these items, we will do our best to provide one for your child. Day 1 - meet in
the Intermediate School Cafeteria

Why pay the high cost of other strength and speed training programs when you can get high-level training with your
friends and teammates as you prepare and sweat together getting ready for numerous challenges? This course
combines speed training, and weight training. It will offer the instruction and opportunity for students to increase
their speed, agility, strength and overall athletic ability. This course includes individualized weight lifting programs and
a later evening session to accommodate working students. Please indicate on the Training Room flier which
session(s) you would like to be a participant. Make a commitment to be a member of “The Training Room.”
HS Weight Room

YOUNG NATURALISTS ( Gr. 5-9)                                    $5.00                  Instructor: Mr. Frisk
June 14-16 (8:00-11:30)         June 17 (8:00-4:00)
The course will cover different kinds of wildlife and will involve field trips to study aquatic insects, fish, trees, and
flowers. Many days the class will be held outside. Students should wear clothing that they can get dirty and wet. The
last day of the course is an all day field trip to Door County to visit Whitefish Dunes State Park and commercial fishing
company. Note DATES & TIMES and BE PROMPT for each outing. Meet in the High School hall outside the
library on the first day.

The Math Lab is a program where students receive intensive small group instruction to improve their basic
skills and prepare them for the next grade.

READING LAB GR. 7-8 / 8:30-11:30                      No fee                      Insturctor: Ms. Davister
This is a program where students receive intensive small group instruction to improve their basic skill in
reading and language arts during three weeks of the summer.

EVERYDAY COOKING GR 3-9 8:30-11:30                      $15.00                      Ms. Kvigne & Ms. Simons
Students will learn what is needed to prepare meals. Students will learn how to shop, budget, follow
directions, and measure. Students will come out of the class with skills needed for working in a kitchen and
appropriate behaviors for different situations. Recipes and a recipe book will be created in class.
