									PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT SERVICE OFFICE (PESO)

Public Employment Service Office (PESO) is a multi-employment service facility or
entity established or accredited by DOLE pursuant to Republic Act 8759, otherwise
known as the PESO Act of 1999.

PESO exists in Local Government Units or (LGUs), such as the PESO of Bacolod City;
State and Colleges (SUCs); Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs); and Community
Based Organizations (CBOs).

The PESOs are linked to the Regional Offices of the Department of Labor and
Employment (DOLE) for coordination and technical supervision, and to the DOLE
Central Office, to constitute the National Employment Service Network.

 a. Provision of Overseas Employment Facilitation Services for Applicants

ABOUT THE SERVICE: PESO-Bacolod assists various placement agencies in
conducting their recruitment for professional, skilled & non-skilled job vacancies
overseas. The office makes sure that these agencies are authorized by the Philippine
Overseas Employment Administration (POEA). It also monitors the status of workers
placed overseas.
   This enables interested parties to apply for overseas employment through reputable
agencies. PESO announces agencies recruitment through media as soon as these are
verified to possess the Special Recruitment Authority issued by POEA.

WHO MAY AVAIL OF THE SERVICE:

Any person interested in applying for overseas employment

 Passport
 Employment/Training Certificate
 School Credentials

 b. Provision of Overseas Employment Facilitation Services for Employers

ABOUT THE SERVICE: Overseas placement agencies may seek the assistance of
PESO-Bacolod in conducting recruitment activities. Recruitment agencies may submit to
the PESO, on a regular basis, list of job vacancies in their respective establishment in
order to facilitate the exchange of labor market information to maximize the number
applicants.

 Any interested Recruitment Agency

REQUIREMENTS:
 Provincial Recruitment Authority (PRA)
 Confirmed Job Order(s) from Principal Employer(s)
 Letter of Endorsement from DOLE-Bacolod
 Approved Documents from POEA-Bacolod and Manila

 c.   Issuance of Local Employment Referral for Applicants

ABOUT THE SERVICE: PESO promotes full employment and equality of employment
opportunities for all in order to strengthen and expand the existing facilitation services
machinery of the government. The office provides clients with adequate information on
the employment and labor market, and undertakes employability enhancement
trainings/seminars for job seekers. It also assists applicants in choosing the job position
that fits to their qualification and interest.

Any resident of Bacolod City, 18 years old and above

REQUIREMENTS:

   Police Clearance / NBI Clearance
   Employment Certificates

employment and equality of employment opportunities for all by giving information on
job vacancies.

Employers may call or visit PESO-Bacolod to post job vacancies and give necessary
information about their company’s profile and submit documents for recruitment activity.
They are also encouraged to market their job vacancies to the local media.
