PowerPoint 2007 Tips
1. Change options in PowerPoint at once.
Click “Office Button” located at the bottom, left corner and select “PowerPoint Options.” Then the PowerPoint dialog box will open up.
There are a series of tabs on the left side. You can change many kinds of options in PowerPoint.
2. KeyTip and Hidden commands
KeyTip You may love to use shortcuts such as Ctrl + C for copy, Ctrl + X for cut or some others. If you want to find out which key is assigned to which function, press the Alt key. Then you will see the “KeyTip.”
Hidden Commands There are hidden commands when you see a little upside down triangle. Click the triangle and open the additional commands.
3. Layout
There are a variety of layouts you can choose from.
4. Templates
There are a lot of professional looking templates you can choose. Just place the mouse over the design you would like to see. This is a preview function, so you even don’t have to select and undo.
5. SmartArt Graphics
Highlight the text and click the right mouse button. You will get the tools like the ones below, then select “Convert SmartArt.”
Contextual Tabs are tabs with specialized commands that are displayed when the object they operate is selected on a table, picture, or shape. You can change color and layouts from the SmartArt Tools Design tab.
