LPPTA Consignment Sale Selling Tips
For our sellers and shoppers to get the most out of our sale, please follow these guidelines:
Please do…
* consign items that you would consider purchasing for your own children. The LPPTA reserves the right to discard items that are deemed un-sellable by our quality-check volunteers. price your items using the price guideline. Well priced, in season items sell. ALL items should be priced in whole dollars for data entry purposes. Small inexpensive items can be grouped together and sold as a package. (ex. socks, small books etc) with the exception of pants (which should be folded), hang all clothing on hangers prior to drop-off. Should you need them, ask your local drycleaner for extra hangers. place footwear in plastic baggies - this will keep the pair together and with the price tag to ensure proper credit. Baggies also work well for puzzles and other items with small pieces. securely attach price tags using safety pins (clothing) or tape (toys & equipment). If a price tag falls off, proper credit cannot be applied to your seller ID. clean and test your items prior to consigning. Toys and equipment with batteries sell first. Shoppers like to try before they buy. assemble items such as swings and highchairs to avoid losing pieces and parts. Larger furniture such as cribs should not be assembled but they must be accompanied by the necessary hardware. group small items and sell as a package (e.g., socks, small books, figurines, etc.) be aware of recent recalls (visit http://www.cpsc.gov for the most current list)
