Job Description
Shilo Inns is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Director for our Shilo Inn
Restaurant in Killeen, TX. Will forecast staffing requirements & set staffing schedules for
all food & beverage employees. Monitor all employee conduct and maintain good
employee/employer working relationships. Review applicants, interview, hire and
terminate staff as needed to comply with performance standards and service demands.
Complete food and beverage purchasing to maintain adequate par inventory to prepare
menu items as recipes specify. Monitor food and beverage preparation for acceptable
standards, including portion control and recipe compliance. Operate the Restaurant to
comply with product, service, safety and accounting standards & procedures. Represent
Shilo Inns as an industry professional in both communication and appearance to maintain
excellent customer relations & rapport to ensure customer loyalty and satisfaction.
Skill Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Must have three to five years experience in management of full-
service food and beverage facility, and one year hotel/motel food & beverage service
experience. Must qualify for “Food Handlers” and/or “Liquor Server Permit”. Must be
willing to be on-call during off-duty hours for emergencies, such as, but not limited to,
major breakdowns of utility distribution systems or Acts of God, which endanger the
Property or Guests. Must have the ability and knowledge to qualify as an authorized
employee for the Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout). Must have working
knowledge of federal, state and local laws pertinent to restaurant operations,
employment practices and safety. Must have a valid Driver's License and driving record
that the Company's insurance underwriter will approve for operation of Company
vehicles.
