I have had a close look at your web site during my research to find an organisation where my skills would be best challenged and this has drawn my attention and prompted me to write this letter of application. As part of my studies of International Business – Intercultural Studies at Heilbronn Business School, I need to experience a period of practical training of six months from 1 September 2003 to the end of February 2004. This work placement is part of my second year of studies. In my core course, I would like to major in International Finance and Controlling as well as International Management. This is why I would very much like to work in your Finance Department. As far as languages are concerned, I am a native speaker of German and I have a good command of English. Furthermore, I am good at organising, a good communicator and I am a highly committed worker. Apart from business administration, our studies also focus on intercultural issues of the Anglophone, Hispanic and Arab world. I have already gained valuable vocational experience in a work placement with a reputable car manufacturer and financial services provider. During this period I had the opportunity to benefit from my curiosity about business processes – I helped to create local credit risk rules in the Credit Risk Department – as well as from my keen interest in international business relations within a globally operating group. I feel confident that I could be an active and cooperative member of any team. Looking forward to your answer, Yours sincerely [empty space: 3 lines] Enclosures
