Industry Speak

“Based on our encouraging experience from Paperex 2005 we are looking forward to Paperex 2007 and see it as a useful forum to meet both
our present and future customers, specially when our company is expanding strongly in India.”
                                                                                                                          RISTO ANTTONEN
Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Ahlstrom Corporation
“Wherein Paperex brings a great conglomeration of participation from who's who of Paper Industry it also gives a Platform to the New
Ones. Every year we as a participant have seen the swelling of 'Paperex Family' which has kept our interest rolling in being a part of it.
Paperex is not just indigenous its 'GLOBAL', which makes it more lucrative, especially for overseas companies like mine and many many
more who have been participating. ”
                                                                                                                            VIKAS KOTHARI
                                                                                                                Country Manager ANDRITZ OY
“It comes as a pleasure to us that our waiting of over 2 years is now coming to an end. We wait eagerly for this international event held in
India. Not only us but many new entrepreneurs have benefitted from this exhibition. This exhibition brings out the best in every paper
machine manufacturer and gives their customers (Domestic and International) a commonplace to choose the best & most economical for
their industry, in one place. We wish all the best to all participants including ourselves.”
                                                                                                                               VIKAS GUPTA
                                                                                                        Managing Director, Modinagar Rolls Ltd.
“PAPEREX serves as the showcase of the Pulp & Paper Industry world over with particular reference to the Indian Paper Industry in an
excellent way. Globally the growth rates in this sector may not have been so high in the developed economies as in the case of developing
ones. This works well for both the segments on account of technology transfer and capacity enhancements to serve the growing markets
more effectively and improve the overall global efficiency and economics of Pulp & Paper Industry as a whole. This trade fair & conference
organized in India serves this aspect well. ”
                                                                                                                                  R.C. MALL
Executive Director, The Andhra Pradesh paper Mills Ltd.
“Over the Past few years, PAPEREX has created its own space and recognition in the fraternity of Paper Industry for drawing the attention
and raising the crucial issues for the growth and development of Industry. The paper Industry has grown substantially recently and has a
tremendous potential for further growth. In an Increasingly, Interdependent and Integrating World with emergence of knowledge and
economics, the sharing, facilitating, forwarding and enriching the knowledge base among the Promoters of Business and Co- Partners of
the Industry, such event and conference is very useful. The organizers of this event deserve to be complimented for their contribution. ”
                                                                                                                          BRIG S. K. MUTREJA
                                                                                                                            CMD, Nepa Limited
“Paperex has been gaining popularity and strength since last decade and takes credit for bringing technology givers and users together. In a
forest-poor agricultural country, use of a mix of raw materials – forest-based and agro and waste paper based should be promoted without
any sectoral bias. Paperex gives equal importance to all 3 sectors. With the industry in an upswing mood with higher profit and larger
balance sheet. PAPEREX has a greater role to play, specially when the professionally managed mills becoming more responsive to
environmental, social and economic issues. ”
                                                                                                                             ABANISH PANDA
                                                                                                       Director-General, Paper Indian Foundation
“The Indian Paper Industry is on the threshold of a significant transformation. Breaking away from the shackles of “small” and
“acceptable”, the industry has set out on a march to be in the “world scale” and “world class” league. At this juncture, Paperex 07 is going to
be an exciting forum for Knowledge and Information. I am sure all participants and visitors would go back with new ideas and enthusiasm
to contribute to this transformation. ”
                                                                                                                             C.S. PANIGRAHI
Chief Executive, Voith Paper Technology (India) Ltd.
“The Indian paper industry has emerged as a young, dynamic growing industry in last 7 - 8 years. The focus has surely been on technology,
process improvement and increase in the end quality. We have seen a strong growing consciousness for environment friendly processes.
This is critical for us as citizens of the country as well as we owe this to our environment. Today the Paper Chemical fraternity recognizes
the immense potential in this Industrial Phenomenon and we view this hot spot as the pillar for mutual growth. ”
                                                                                                                   JYOTSANA SHRIVASTAVA
Vice President – Water and Paper Treatment, Ciba Specialty Chemicals India Ltd.
“Paperex, a biennial Trade show is taking place for the 8th time since its inception. The trade show provides a very good opportunity to
exhibitors to showcase their equipment and technology. The technical conference held concurrently provides a platform for interactions
and knowledge sharing on various aspects of Paper Industry. I am sure Paperex 2007 will prove to be very useful to both the organizers and
the participants. ”
                                                                                                                               R.R. VEDERAH
                                                                                                     Managing Director, Ballarpur Industries Ltd.
“With India's large population, increasing literacy and disposable income the paper industry needs to prepare itself to meet the demand.
India ranks number 15 in the world in terms of manufacturing capacity, and is capable of steadily ascending to a much higher ranking
within the next decade. European, American pulp, paper chemical & pigment manufacturers have been steadily watching the growth in the
Indian pulp & paper industry and some of them have already started manufacturing locally in India to serve this future market. The road
ahead provides ample opportunities in terms of skilled manpower, and possibility to explore the further use of other non-wood fibers in and
technology in papermaking. "In this regards, Paperex 2007 is an appropriate forum for Indian Pulp & Paper companies to meet various
technology solution providers.”
                                                                                                                          SIVA SUBRAMANIAN
